Matlab uses frugalware's java and when I try to change font type for example in a figure, or I want to set Matlab's default font under preferences menu, Matlab crashes and tells me the following error: (I use Hungarian locales, so I've just translated the Hungarian parts of the error message into English. In case of English locales it may be different a bit). MATLAB: ../../../src/share/native/sun/font/t2k/t2kstrm.c:132: ReadInt16: Precondition `pos <= t->maxPos' unsuccessful. Terminated. I know that you certainly don't support Matlab, but I think it is a Java related problem. I think because on Debian Etch (with Sun's Java 1.6.0) the same version of Matlab works perfectly. On Debian there is a package something like this: java-fonts... Under Frugalware Current I use Java from j2re package, but I have also tried with Blackdown's Java (from package) and with jdk7 package as well without any success. Are fonts for Java in frugalware contained by j2re package? A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - crazy (bugs) Attached to Project - Frugalware Summary - makepkg bugs with subpkgs Task Type - Bug Report Category - Development tools Status - New Assigned To - Miklos Vajna Operating System - x86_64 / i686 Severity - Medium Priority - Normal Reported Version - -current Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - Hi, while working on splitting kde4 ( which has a lot subpackages ) and uses a lot Fsplit foo /some_path I've found out makepkg doesn't handle docs , man , info etc for subpkgs like we do for the main package. makepkg line 1469 to 1512 is buggy for subpkgs because the check is always '-d pkg/something' In addition I think the doc part is even buggy for main package. We do : ... msg "Preparing package documentation..." cd $startdir if [ -d pkg/usr/doc ]; then mkdir -p pkg/usr/share/doc cp -a pkg/usr/doc/* pkg/usr/share/doc/ rm -rf pkg/usr/doc fi if [ ! "`check_option NODOCS`" -a "$NODOCS" = "0" ]; then mkdir -p pkg/usr/share/doc/$pkgname-$pkgver .... So if a package installs usr/doc and I want it to be 'nodocs' it will still install usr/share/doc/* . Anyway _why_ we move to usr/share/doc when it should be usr/share/doc/$pkgname-$pkgver ?:) In case a package installs /usr/doc we have at the end /usr/share/doc && /usr/share/doc/$pkgname-$pkgver , heh IMO the nodocs check should be moved up and both cases should be checked , if nodocs and and /usr/doc /usr/share/docs then rm -rf if not just create one 'dir' not 2 for docs.
