When I upgraded it, the hald service was added to the runlevels automatically and started upon next boot. Unfortunately, the entire boot process hung because hal couldn't connect to dbus, as it is not installed. (therefore severity is High) Please make the necessary changes: - hal shouldn't change services when I upgrade it - rc.hald should handle the condition when dbus is unavailable - btw the comments in rc.hald could be translated to a better English ;-) Thanks LGee More information can be found at the following URL: http://bugs.frugalware.org/task/3474 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system. User who did this - Denis Prost (denis_p) Attached to Project - Frugalware Summary - missing file in udev package Task Type - Bug Report Category - Base system Status - Unconfirmed Assigned To - Operating System - i686 Severity - Low Priority - Normal Reported Version - 0.9 Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - file /lib/udev/pcmcia-socket-startup is missing in udev package whereas it is called in /etc/udev/rules.d 60-pcmcia.rules. The result is that my Adaptec slimSCSI APA-1460A SCSI card does not work with frugalware. I had to copy that file from a debian install to make it work. By the way, there also seems to be some minor inconsistency in udev package : /etc/udev/rules.d 60-pcmcia.rules wants to load pcmcia module but pcmcia support is not compiled as a module in frugalware kernel. I am using the setkeycodes command to map some unknown special keys of my keyboard in the kernel. This command belongs to the kbd package. The version of this package which is installed on my system is the same as the one provided by the package search: http://www.frugalware.org/packages/41128/files Unfortunately, this command is not available anymore, although the manual page of this command is still available. I guess that something went wrong during the kbd package build.
