Correct behavior was in KDE delivered with 1.2 release of Frugalware ! You just need to recompile a newer/patched version of OO. Ubuntu Lucid (2010.04 beta) has the same version of openoffice.org (3.2.0 build 9483) but their OO Calc does not produce this problem. I thought we would instead want to check what package the symbolic link belongs to versus what package the link leads to belongs to. I found the location in libpacman where this occurs but I am not sure what changes this would require to properly implement. If this is the intended behavior then please close this "bug". Otherwise I would like to see it handle symbolic links properly. Everything went fine , I did an xconfig , X starts and so does KDM. The probleme though is that KDE 4 doesn't start and I'm kicked back into KDM when trying to start it. After that logging into console mode won't work either. Attached are some logs , including xsession-errors which seems to contain the actual error. From doing a bit of research the problem seems related to either ConsoleKit or the video driver. I'm going to try and debug this further but any ideas are welcome. I thought I'd try startkde from the command line ( after starting in runlevel 3 ) but that gives an error and error "DISPLAY is not set or cannot connect to x server". Thanks. From noreply at frugalware.org Sat Apr 24 14:19:18 2010 From: noreply at frugalware.org (Frugalware) Date: Sat, 24 Apr 2010 16:19:18 +0400 Subject: [Frugalware-bugs] [FBTS] #4204: knemo always shows default icon In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <20100424121919.29902.543834207.swift@bugs.frugalware.org> THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY. A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - Denis Prost (denis_p) Attached to Project - Frugalware Summary - knemo always shows default icon Task Type - Bug Report Category - KDE Status - Unconfirmed Assigned To - Operating System - i686 Severity - Low Priority - Normal Reported Version - -current Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - Though different status icons are installed with the knemo package in /usr/share/kde/icons/hicolor/22x22/status, there seems to be no way to make knemo use them. When doing knemo / configure, the different icon themes (modem, monitor, network, wireless) all show the same icon. This problem exists both in Frugalware stable 1.2 and in current (knemo 0.6.0) Regards Denis More information can be found at the following URL: http://bugs.frugalware.org/task/4204 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system.
