I've just noticed that upgraded version, which came with KDE4 packages, can't open them. When I try to open my encrypted basket, it tells me : "Password protected basket. Encryption is not supported by this version of BasKet Note Pads..." The major version number of BasKet hasn't been changed, it is still 1.0.3.1, so I guess that BasKet has just been recompiled with KDE4 libraries. If it is true, the version is the same as it was earlier, so it must support encrypted BasKet. So in this case I suspect a compilation bug, maybe some encryption related libraries hasn't been linked. User who did this - Russell Dickenson (phayz) Attached to Project - Frugalware Summary - GNOME menu is not functioning correctly Task Type - Bug Report Category - GNOME Status - New Assigned To - Operating System - i686 Severity - Medium Priority - Normal Reported Version - -current Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - About a week ago I found that the GNOME menu - i.e. the applet named "GNOME custom menu" wasn't working correctly. The problem is that when I click on the 'Applications' section, no menu appears, but the 'Places' and 'System' menus work as expected. I have tried the following to fix this problem: (1) removed and re-added the applet; (2) logged out and deleted all personal GNOME folders; (3) reinstalled the applets and gnome core packages. None of these have improved the situation. I have also tried the other GNOME menu applet, named "GNOME menu" (IIRC), which appears as the GNOME foot logo only. Strangely this also doesn't behave properly IIRC. Instead of displaying the same contents as the GNOME custom menu, in a slightly different order, I get only the contents of the 'Places' equivalent. Sometimes when I highlight the GNOME menu, all panels crash and restart. It seems that Metacity is still OK, because applications remain with their normal decorations through Metacity's crash and restart. This particular behaviour started, I think, shortly after I began testing Chrome (Google's web browser). I was trying the 'native theme integration' options and around this time found that the GNOME panels would crash as I switched options on and off. Until I can resolve this I will probably switch to Xfce.
