User who did this - Russell Dickenson (phayz) Attached to Project - Frugalware Summary - pacman-g2 sometimes reports a lock file when I am not running pacman-g2 Task Type - Bug Report Category - Applications Status - New Assigned To - Operating System - i686 Severity - Low Priority - Normal Reported Version - -current Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - I have recently (within the past few weeks?) noticed that pacman-g2 is sometimes reporting the existence of its lock file when I am not doing anything with it. The message reported is as follows: error: failed to init transaction (unable to lock database) if you're sure a package manager is not already running, you can remove //tmp/pacman-g2.lck When I first got this message I immediately looked for the lock file but couldn't find it. When I immediately tried the pacman-g2 operation again, it was successful and there was no complaint of a lock file. I recently started using Frugalware tweak! (original version and 2) and I wonder if this could be the cause of the problem? Is pacman-g2 creating the lock file when, via the API, it's asked if there are package updates pending?
