I only recently switched to using Chromium as my primary web browser so I experimented with several extensions. I found that when I tried some, my entire desktop environment would freeze and only a hard reboot got the PC working again. Since then I have decided to use only a few extensions, preferably created by Google, and things have been more stable since then. Last night though I was doing general web browsing with several tabs open, and Chromium froze, along with my entire desktop environment. You might think that this is not Chromium's fault but before using Chromium I had never had this problem occur. Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong? In the meantime I might try running Xfce for a while and see if the desktop freezes. -- Russell (AKA phayz)
